The House on Dame Street is a short animated film from 1999 featuring a zombifeid head that’s a bit bitey and an extremely foul mouthed zombie. It’s available for download in the short films section on the director’s site, but you can watch it right here too:
a short story set in a world of pure chaos, of pure evil where people’s heads are slightly bigger and hardly anything is reflective because it takes too long to render…
…the secret of eternal life has just been found…
Director Ruari Robinson’s short, 50 Percent Grey was nomintaed for an Oscar, which although technically not starring a zombie the lead is quite dead. A very funny little flick and worth the download.
I’m about to sit down to watch his film Silent City as well. I love his stuff. I’m hoping to see a feature from him soon.
The more I see the more I want to see. Next month can’t come fast enough!
This is the trailer Last House Films put together for the SXSW Grindhouse Trailer Competition. Sex, gore, violence, guns, and nudity. A woman is taken captive and forced to breed zombies….but she will get her revenge in this homage to the film trailers of the 1970’s. Directed by Todd Cobery, Produced by Brady Kiernan, Director of Photography Wilson Webb.
Now that’s a grindhouse trailer! Well done. It had every element I look for in a grindhouse movie gore, sex ultra violence and of course zombies! This treat comes to us from the director of Zombie Dodgeball as seen in a previous post. How do I know that? He dropped me a line and told me so.
Thanks for the note Todd and good luck with the SWSX trailer competition. To take a look at more of the entries in the competition head on over to YouTube. They’re not all zombie trailers but some are pretty good. The title Hobo with A Shotgun drew me in.
All My Friends are Zombies by
The Priscillas. Rockin’ tune! I think I’ll watch it again.
I knew the U.S. President was a zombie. Nice work on this funny little short by Purple Catus Media.
Creepy zombie girls washing cars. One of them even has a little zombie chihuahua. Eek! Here’s ‘Fashion Freak’:
Well done. A fun little video produced by
Zombie Duck films to a catchy electronic tune by Swedish group
Naked Ape.
Wait. There’s more. Zombies are a theme for Naked Ape. Check out ‘Undo Redo’:
Pole dancing zombies? Why not?
You can listen to more on the band’s myspace page.
Yes, Michael Jackson was cool at one time. We had no idea what he was going to develop into. Yikes. He’s scarier looking now than his zombie self in the above video directed by John Landis. I like the energy of this shortened version of the video edited by Drewske1984 with the RunDMC mix of the song dubbed in.
I wonder what Jackson’s next incarnation will be…
Just a bit of an aside - I sure do miss Vincent Price. Here are the lyrics of Vincent Price’s rap in the song:
Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize yawls neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpses shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzy ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
Man, he was too cool for school.
Description: This short film (the rules, it had to be SHORT) was entered into the new Microsoft XBOX 360 launch contest …(see Wikipedia for the details about the contest, and what led up to our film being featured on MTV) … XBOX_360 … AND … Hex168 … and it was featured in a 1/2 hour special on MTV and MTV2 over the holidays, fall-winter, 2005. Our film clip WON THE CONTEST and was only 1 of 4 featured on MTV, including behind the scenes production work (where I am also a featured extra). In this, I am the HEX female SUPER zombie (on the left) with the blood drooling out of my mouth and later, throwing the blue ball at the old-fashioned, inferior Zombies. Created by local filmmaker, Todd Cobery. Kudos to Todd!

I love this song. Monster Hospital by Canadian band Metric is one darn catchy tune on its own. A terrified female lead singer, undead band mates and other horror elements in black and white with red all over video directed by Toronto’s Micah Meisner makes it just that much better. I bought this CD after the first time I heard the song while watching music videos one dark night and am glad I did. There’s plenty more in the way of decent tunes on the Live it Out CD. The zombies reeled me in but the music kept me.
9 out of 10 for both song and video.
More NSFW language ahead in this full episode of Danger 50,000 Volts (26:37). Watch it before it goes away:
Danger 50,000 Volts: Zombies. Special episode of the channel 5 progamme staring Nick Frost & Simon Pegg stars of Shaun of the Dead.
Holy shit I love these guys. Too bad they don’t want to make a sequel for Shaun of the Dead. Oh well this is good anyway and I can pick up the entire series on DVD at Amazon.ca.
