Yeah, they’re dead. They’re all messed up.

I’ve been trying to avoid this game as I know I’ll be immediately addicted, but after this review from the always amusing Zero Punctuation I must have this thing.

While sifting through some emails I came across this little gem of a zombie related show from the U.K. Dead Set takes reality programming in a whole new direction by introducing zombies into the mix:
Britain has a big problem. The dead are returning to life and attacking the living. The people they kill get up and kill – and it’s spreading like wildfire. Curiously, there are a few people left in Britain who aren’t worried about any of this – that’s because they’re the remaining contestants in Big Brother. Cocooned in the safety of the Big Brother house, they’re blissfully unaware of the horrific events unfolding outside. Until an eviction night when all hell breaks loose.
Kelly, (Jaime Winstone) the production runner working on Big Brother finds herself caught in the impossible position of trying to fend off the walking dead alongside the remaining housemates, Davina herself, a host of former Big Brother housemates, her producer boss Patrick (Andy Nyman) and boyfriend Riq (Riz Ahmed).
Over the ensuing days, in a cruel reflection of the game show they thought they were entering, the contestants fall victim, one by one, to the hungry masses outside. Staying alive requires teamwork – which is tricky when you’re a group specifically selected by TV producers to wind each other up.
I’m not sure when or if this is or will ever be available to fans of the zombie genre on this side of the ocean, but I’m sure if we talk about it enough and make enough noise we may get to see this or a remake a la “The Office” just for our already undead but North American minds.
Until then we’ll have to be satisfied with what E4 is offering us on the Dead Set website. There’s a trailer and more photos from the series right here after the jump:

There is much argument to and fro on the archive.org page that this video comes from as to its veracity. If it does truly show what it purports to it could actually prove the science behind the existence of ‘zombies’. Be warned the images in this short are not for the faint of heart or unscientifically minded and may be extremely disturbing for some:

Thanks to Patrick Sauriol for this one. Hey Patrick, is it true that Corona Coming Attractions is set to make a triumphant return to the web complete with a slick new look and some cool new applications?
This poster looks promising:

Interested in snow? Zombies? Nazis? Well the Norwegian film Dead Snow has all of that as well as hot chicks in snow suits. Check out the trailer, subtitled in case you’re mono-linguistic like me and don’t understand Norwegian:

I loved Metallica’s video for their song, One, based on Johnny Got His Gun. Then they went a little too commercial for a lot of their fans with the black album and the garbage afterward. Well it appears they’re being creative again. Check out the video for All Nightmare Long from their album, Death Magnetic:
